If you are ordering pendant lights on a cord, as opposed to metal tube, here are the choices we offer for both the cord color and canopy finish. These choices are included in the price of the pendant.
From left to right for cord mounted pendants
White canopy with white cord
Chrome canopy with silver cord
Black canopy with black cord.
Satin brass canopy with silver cord
The canopy covers the electrical box in the ceiling where the pendant is attached. All these cords are SVT-2 type UL approved for hanging pendants. Black and white cords are just that. The silver cord is an interesting choice consisting of a clear plastic outer covering through which the power cords may be seen, each wrapped in a shiny chrome-like finish.
Cord mounted pendants are easily adjusted for height during installation. We provide 4’ of cord for each pendant. If you need more, just let us know. Use as much of the cords as necessary to have the pendant at the height you desire (see here to check on how to determine the optimum height).
Tube hung pendants require more work. You must determine for me how high you want the pendant over the table, counter, floor or whatever will be underneath. I will then determine the correct tube length to meet your needs. This is not adjustable, so you need to be sure of the measurement you give me.
Options for tube mounting of both pendants and chandeliers
For pendants mounted on ½” brass tubes we currently offer four different finishes, as shown above.
Flat black is not totally flat, more of an oil-rubbed black.
Chrome is shiny but we can finish it with a softer sheen if desired.
Oiled bronze is a deep bronze color with a soft sheen.
Satin brass, just as it is called, not too shiny.
If you would like an actual sample of the finishes shown, please email or call for samples.
More colors will be available. Call if you have any special requests.
Canopies will be finished as the tubes.
For chandeliers, the finishes shown will apply to all the metal of the chandelier unless otherwise specified.
For single pendants there is a $35 up-charge for the metal tube mount, up to 4’ in length. Additional lengths are $6 per foot. We will need an exact measurement for the drop tubes, and the way to do this is here.
